3 Year Old shoots cousin!!!

An off-duty police officer's three-year-old son has reportedly shot and killed a three-year-old cousin with his father's gun in the US.

Police were called to a house in Rayville, Louisiana at 2.30 p.m. local time yesterday, the News-Star reported.

Sheriff Charles McDonald said the children - a boy and a girl - were playing out the front of the house when the off-duty officer went to get something out of his car.

While he was turned, the boy walked up and picked up the officer’s firearm, which was in the driver’s side door.

The boy then pulled the trigger and accidentally shot the girl, killing her instantly, Sheriff McDonald said.

He described the death as a "tragic accident".

Very tragic. I feel sorry for everyone in the situation, the father will have to live the fact he left his gun lying around for his toddler to pick up.
The 3 year old boy for when he gets older. Killing someone is a big deal and he will be scared for life.
And of course the girls entire family.

That is tragic news.
The father will be so dissapointed with himself, knowing that he was right there when it happened, and the way it happened.

Im sorry but the father is the idiot here, leaving his gun out to be played with. Thats just iresponsible and stupid.

To be fair. The gun was away, in the car.

Although knowing it was there, he shouldn't of had his back faced to the kids, but in his defence who knew that would happen, and it is jsut a very big accident and the family of the girl, who are related to him, should be able to forgive.
