The President of the SFL, Paul Harriss had pleasure in announcing that the SFL will move it's headquarters to KGV both offices and finals games. The SFL and Glenorchy DFC have reached an agreement that will see Glenorchy providing office facilities and other ancillary benefits to the SFL. The SFL will in return play it's Preliminary, Grand Final and Intrastate (Southern) games at KGV. In addition the William Leitch Medal function will be held at the Glenorchy Function Centre at KGV.

Glenorchy President Steve Allie commented "This is an exciting partnership with the SFL that will be of mutual benefit to both organisations. The Club has some outstanding projects planned for the next two years particularly clubroom development that will enhance the experience for the SFL and Glenorchy members. The new grandstand at KGV brings the facilities at the ground to a very high standard, provides an excellent hospitality area, new change rooms and will encourage better crowds. The ground development is an ongoing plan that will bring KGV to the forefront of Football in Southern Tasmania. The SFL will be a major beneficiary of our development plans. We know the Glenorchy City Council is pleased to see the SFL move to KGV as it will also bring additional people and business to the area."

Paul Harriss finished off by saying "The Glenorchy Football Club should be complimented for the initial approach and that the club's professionalism was a persuading factor".

This is going to leave the former TFL HQ North Hobart seeing no finals action now, while it is good for the Magpies, it's not so good for the NorthHobart oval and it's future.

They have moved the TSL Finals from North Hobart to Bellerive in a more screwed up final series then I have ever seen. I am not a fan of the way they have he finals in the new TSL.
